New Year New You New Hobby. How many times have you said ‘Ooh I’d really love to try blah’ but never have for various valid reasons? Me too.
So I’m fuelling my desire to try new things and sharing the results on here to give you a hand in whittling down what might be more successful for you.
Join me in my pursuit by following my posts, giving a go what perks your interest or, better still, recommend new hobbies for me to try!

oooh, cake decorating would be good, or maybe singing?
Ooh both good ideas – had singing on the list wondering if there was a choir I could drop into. Thinking I should put up my page of potential things to try and add to this any new ideas.
Thanks!
Wow! That’s a challenge and then some. I’m doing 12 hobbies in 12 months 🙂 Best of luck!
Sounds brilliant but can’t find your blog – are you blogging about it? Let me know if you can recommend anything!
Hi Emily, I’ve been missing your weekly hobbies! I thought you might be able to incorporate travel reading, or competition entering as your next hobby so I’ve nominated you to participate in The Works’ On the Road Reading Moments competition – hope you get a chance to check it out 🙂
Gah I’ve only just seen this – it sounds awesome and thanks for nominating me, I have a great book in mind but see the deadline is Fri – will have to try and bang something out tomorrow! Hope you’re well (and yes, I’ve been ridiculously slack at my hobbies but endeavouring to get back on it!)

I just Googled “Hobbies in London” as I’ll be moving back there next year and I’m determined not to hate it as much as I did the last time I lived there. To do this, I thought “why not find a hobby?!”.
Well, I’m terrible at sticking to one thing, and so your blog has been a life saver. I may just follow in your footsteps, finding lots of things to try out rather than attempting to stick to one!
Might I suggest fencing? I used to fence with Fighting Fit in Holloway (or near it, anyway). I’m sure they do one-off lessons!
Great to hear from you Hannah – where are you coming from? There are a million brilliant thihngs to do in London – I am behind on my blogging but have tried a few hobbies I need to post up pronto. Fencing is on the list to try but good reminder – will look into trying to find a one-off lesson over the next month or two!
Oh I only just saw this! I’m actually back now, and just looked up your blog for some inspiration. I’ve been living in Hong Kong for the last couple of years 🙂
Did you get around to the fencing? It’s great fun!
